Fibrenew - Brian Crowley

So many people dream of being a self-employed entrepreneur, yet most hit a road block and never make it. Sometimes it's as simple as just knowing how to get started or having a helping hand. John Lennon and Paul McCartney wrote about it in their song " With a Little Help from My Friends."

Our E-Story this month is about a man that thought about doing something on his own for years. Brian Crowley used to take classes on business ownership and often brainstormed ideas with his wife Janet.  But it was a referral from a good friend that got Brian started on his path to entrepreneurship and the results were "amazing".

Join me in welcoming Brian to the world of entrepreneurship.

Congratulations, Brian!

Brian Crowley

Brian Crowely was a Systems Analyst for a large company.  Reorganization left him seeking new employment in his early 50's. Unfortunately, this scenerio is all to common. Brian worked part time , took classes and continued to look for a job.  He and his wife Janet often discussed having a business of their own and often brain stormed ideas. Janet had the idea to start a "tea shop" but the risk of the unknow prevented them pursuing their dream.

I had been working with Brian's friend, JP Palmer. who was also going through a career transition. There must be something in the water.  JP had definite entrepreneurial instincts, but the offer of a paying job was just too good for JP to pass up.  JP told me about a conversation he recently had with his friend Brian concerning his desire to do something on his own, but he just didnt' know what.  An excellent referral.

Brian and I started his exploration and discovery for a business that fit his goals and needs. He wasn't a big risk taker and liked the idea of a homebased business that he could start out himself and grow from there.  He preferred something hands on where he could see immediate results and have personal satisfaction and customer appreciation.

We focused in on Fibrenew, a worldwide leader in the repair, reconditioning and color restoration of leather, plastics and vinyl for the automotive, marine, aviation, commerical and residential furniture markets.  Brian and Fibrenew can make worn and faded leather look like new again.

In Brian's own words, "If it wasn't for the fact that an old friend stopped over and discussed my dream of business ownership and told me about Marty, I wouldn't be a business owner today.  Marty's encouragement really helped me get past my fears.  The training and support of the franchise really has helped me learn what it takes to be successful."

It's several years later and Brian is still growing his business. He's presently doing work for commercial accounts like Johnson Controls, Texas Road House, Select Leasing, Penny's Warehouse, numerous car dealerships, warranty work for furniture stores and private individuals. He is very proud of a restoration he did on the dashboard of an antique airplane and the re-dying of a leather sectional.

If you live in the greater Milwaukee area, Brookfield or Waukesha and have a burn hole, worn or scratched leather in your home or vehicle give Brian a call at 262-993-2322. If your vehicle's plastic trim moldings, steer wheel, door panels or armrests are cracked or faded, call Brian. He can make them look like new again and save you some cash. He is truly amazing!
Fibrenew Amazing Leather Repair was a great fit for Brian and his dream.  What's your dream and what would be a good fit for you?  Let's talk about it. I want you to be "amazing" too.
